The Cannabis Act took effect on 17 October 2018. Cannabis incidents before and after that date are not the same offence. Read the cannabis chart beside the other-drugs chart. A change in the total is not, by itself, a change in other drugs.

Montréal reports suspected deaths across its health region. The cause of death is still subject to the coroner's investigation; this is a different measure from confirmed overdose deaths.

Sources & coverage

Last updated 2026-10-01 · accepted source review.

  • The SPVM actes criminels extract used for the crime pages does not publish a drug offence. These counts are the municipal police-service table, not that extract, and they are not mapped to stations.
  • Impaired driving is not in these drug charts.
  • These measures are not added into a drug index or used to rank cities. There is no neighbourhood drug map.
